DIY Organic Oil Cleanser For Oily Skin scaled 1

Oil cleansing is a great way to cleanse your skin without drying it out or making it more sensitive. Many people with oily skin think they shouldn’t use oil on it. However, oil cleansing is a great way to get rid of excess oil. It’s simple, effective, and it smells incredible!

Because I was tired of using chemicals on my skin, I decided to make my own skin care products. Dermalogica was my mainstay in the skin care business for most of my career. This line of skin care was a favorite of mine. They were very pleasant to the nose and had great results. I was impressed that they claimed all-natural. After researching all of the dangerous ingredients in skin care products, I began to look at the endless ingredient list on my Dermalogica products. Even in a basic toner, Propylene Glycol was at the top of the list. It was time for me to rethink what I was putting on the skin.

I have a background in skin-care and worked with some of the best skin care brands. This has made it easy to see that cleansers come in many varieties. For my own cleansing, I prefer to use a homemade oil cleanser.

The Oil Cleansing Method saved my skin.

For oilier skin types, Tamanu and Jojoba oils are the best. Tamanu oil is my favorite oil. It deserves its own post. Jojoba oil is very similar to the skin’s natural sebum. When applied to the skin, it signals to the skin to stop producing too much oil. Castor oil is an essential oil in an oil cleanser.

The combination of tea tree and lavender essential oils is a wonderful smell. They are my favorite oils for treating blemished skin. They are antibacterial, anti fungal and anti-inflammatory.

A DIY oil cleanser is something I love to use. It is one of my favorite and most gentle ways to clean your skin. A soap-based cleanser can strip your skin of its natural oils, causing the skin to produce more oil. Oil cleansers can often make skin look out of balance. It thoroughly removes stubborn eye make-up while nourishing your lashes.

These are the ingredients I trust and use. A successful DIY project will only be possible if you use high-quality ingredients.
